Each campus adds to this base their own specific group of well qualified lecturers with work experience in the areas they teach; appropriate sport and social activities and individualized student support aimed at maximizing student success. Only The Independent Institute of Education can offer students an opportunity to register on a campus and with a brand that resonates with their personal ambitions and needs while also offering the security and quality assurance and recognition that comes from being part of the country’s premier, respected private higher education institution. The work of the Senate is supported by its committees. The Teaching and Learning Committee focuses on the quality of teaching and learning from classroom delivery to curriculum structure to student support. Faculty Boards exercise oversight over the programmes in each faculty and govern changes and developments in the faculty. An examinations committee monitors student performance. The research committee promotes a research culture and profile in The IIE. The Library committee drives the work of the libraries which are strategically positioned to place knowledge and information literacy central to the learning process. Programme advisory committees which include external academics and industry representatives ensure that the IIE qualifications are relevant and current. |
