The Independent Institute of Education educational approach delivers on the following:
We focus on building student careers – we understand that students study as the first step in their careers and that what they learn and how they learn need to lay the foundation for further growth, employment and learning.
Our curricula are relevant to the modern world of work and we build strong industry and academic partnerships that ensure and assure this relevance.
We commit to student success which includes a focus on innovative and supportive teaching methodologies, a comprehensive and holistic developmental student support system and the provision of learning opportunities that meet the diverse needs of the student population.
We produce graduates who can and will contribute to the economy and society and who recognise their roles and responsibilities as citizens of a global community.
The Independent Journal of Teaching and Learning has been published annually since 2006.
The journal offers established and new academic writers an opportunity to publish articles with a focus on teaching and learning. Articles are blind peer reviewed by an international panel. First time authors may access a developmental feedback process prior to and following the peer review. In all editions there are articles from first time authors - the blind peer review panel is not aware of the publishing history of authors. All published articles have thus achieved the same standard.
IIEConnect is a collaborative space for engagement between lecturers across all campuses and members of the Central Academic Team.
