The Independent Institute of Education is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education programmes. The programmes offered are higher education qualifications accredited by the Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) of the Council on Higher Education.

The Independent Institute of Education is also internationally accredited. This important achievement demonstrates to our students and staff that our standards are indeed world class and ensures that students can be confident about the value of their qualifications. The British Accreditation Council is an independent authority in the UK that accredits private providers in the UK and in other countries such as Greece, Switzerland, Singapore, India, Mauritius and the United Arab Emirates.

The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) (Pty) Ltd is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education and training institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (reg. no. 2007/HE07/002).

Our qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and are registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
